CGI Custom & Geometric Windows in Naples: What to Know First

CGI custom and geometric windows in Naples typically run $2,400 to $7,800 per opening installed, depending on size, shape complexity, and impact rating requirements. Most shaped-window work on existing CGI openings takes 4 to 7 days from template to finished install. We’re an independent CGI service provider, not a factory arm, which means we can source parts and fix problems without pushing you toward a full replacement unless the frame actually warrants it. Call (239) 899-6411 and we’ll walk the opening with you.

This page is for homeowners whose home already carries CGI windows and who need an arched transom to match, a radius window replaced, or an oversized geometric unit built to spec. It’s also for people who called a big-box installer and got told the shape “can’t be done.” It can be done. We’ve been doing it since 2011.

How CGI Products Fail - and How We Fix Them

CGI builds a solid window. But Naples humidity, salt air, and afternoon sun expose specific weaknesses, especially in custom shapes where factory tolerances were already tight. Here’s what we see on service calls:

  • Sapphire and Estate series radius corners pulling at the upper glazing bead. The laminated glass in a radius unit flexes more than a square lite, and after years of thermal cycling the internal glazing bead can separate at the apex. That separation lets moist air into the airspace, and you get the milky haze people mistake for a seal failure. The fix is usually re-bedding the bead and re-setting the corner blocks, not replacing the sash.
  • Targa arched transoms losing their spring-balanace tune. Targa is CGI’s workhorse for large fixed and custom shapes. The arched variants rely on heavy hardware because the sash weight sits unevenly. When those balances drift, the sash drops hard on the closing side or won’t hold open. We re-tune the balance assemblies to the actual sash weight, which a lot of installers never do after the first year.
  • Geometric units with factory-installed laminated glass showing edge haze at the points. Octagons, trapezoids, and half-rounds concentrate stress at the sharp corners. CGI’s laminate interlayer can start to delaminate at those points after sustained heat load, especially on west-facing walls in the Vineyards or Pelican Bay. We can usually restore clarity with a clean-and-reseal; full glass replacement is only needed when the interlayer is visibly separated more than a quarter inch.
  • Sash sag on Estate series oversized picture-window combos. When a geometric transom sits above a wide fixed panel, the combined frame carries a lot of glass. The outer frame can bow a few millimeters, which pinches the operable sash beneath. We correct it by reinforcing the frame pocket and re-shimming the rough opening so the load path isn’t fighting the geometry.
  • Weep-hole blockage in custom sill pans. Non-rectangular sills collect salt and sand faster than standard sills, and once the weep system clogs, water backs up into the track and under the interior stool. In Naples, that’s not a maintenance nuisance, it’s a slow frame rot issue. We clear and, where needed, re-drill the weep slots to factory spec.

Our CGI Custom & Geometric Windows Process

  1. 1
Call and talk to a person. You reach us at (239) 899-6411, 24/7. We ask about the window’s location, shape, and what it’s doing wrong. Then we set a window to come look.
  2. 2
On-site diagnostic and measurement. Ed or one of our senior techs checks the frame, the glass, the hardware, and the rough opening. For geometric shapes we template the actual opening, not a paper dimension, because no two openings are exactly square.
  3. 3
Parts decision: OEM vs. quality aftermarket. If CGI’s factory parts make sense for the warranty profile and lead time, we use them. If an aftermarket heavy-duty balance or reinforced glazing clip outperforms the OEM part for that specific failure, we tell you and quote both. You decide with real information.
  4. 4
The repair or replacement. We do the work, then we test the unit through a full open-close cycle, water-test the sill, and check the reveal on every side.
  5. 5
Cleanup and the Done Right Promise. We haul the old parts off, leave the room cleaner than we found it, and back the work with the 36500-Day Done Right Promise. If it’s not done right, we come back and make it right.
  6. 6
Follow-up check. For geometric units, we schedule a 30-day re-check to confirm the shape’s still tracking true after it settles.

What CGI Custom & Geometric Windows Costs in Naples

Most of the CGI custom and geometric window work we do in Naples falls into a few clear bands. A single arched or radius replacement sash runs $1,200 to $2,900. A full geometric window replacement, custom-templated and impact-rated, runs $3,400 to $7,800 per unit. Glass-only replacement for a hazed octagon or trapezoid lite runs $900 to $2,200. Hardware re-tuning on large Targa units runs $340 to $800 per window. The price moves on size, shape complexity, whether the opening is load-bearing within the frame system, and whether we’re matching an existing CGI tint or finish. And here’s our fixed rule: the number we quote is the number on the invoice. No change orders snuck in later. Call (239) 899-6411 and we’ll put exact numbers on your specific windows. The estimate’s free.

Why Naples Homeowners Call Winslow Windows & Doors for CGI Work

Ed Winslow learned the windows and doors trade at Miami Dade College’s construction technology program, and he’s been working Southwest Florida openings long enough to know which CGI units hold up on Vanderbilt Beach Road and which ones fight the salt air. Ed still shows up to every job site at least once, not to check on the crew, but because he genuinely wants to see how the light comes through a finished geometric window. That’s the difference between a company that installs windows and a company run by someone who cares what your house looks like from inside when the afternoon light hits the glass.

We also install PGT, CWS, ES Windows, and ECO Window Systems, which means if CGI’s product line can’t give you the exact shape or rating you need, we can show you what the other brands will do, side by side. Same crew, same warranty, same day-one accountability. The 36500-Day Done Right Promise backs every unit we touch. A live person answers the phone at 2 a.m. And when the truck pulls up, the person in it is background-checked, in uniform, and working under Ed’s name on the door.

What Neighbors Say About Winslow Windows & Doors

★★★★

"The installation was clean and the windows are beautiful. The factory took about six weeks to deliver the units, which Ed told me upfront, but living behind plywood-framed openings in the meantime still tested my patience."

GGuadalupe Zamorano
★★★★★

"Three big companies quoted us and every one sent a salesman with a leased truck. Ed turned up in a truck with his own name on the door, quoted less, and his crew were the same faces on day one and day nine."

YYolanda Betancourt
★★★★★

"Someone tried the back slider while we were away. The glass crazed and held, the alarm never had to earn its keep, and the police report reads better than it might have. Ed came out the next morning to check the frame himself."

CCornelius Adeyemi
★★★★★

"Our insurance agent asked for the wind mitigation paperwork and Ed had the whole file ready the day the job closed, every opening photographed. The premium conversation went very differently this year."

OOdessa Fairbanks
★★★★★

"He replaced the front door and the garage door in the same week, both rated for impact, and lined the frames up so straight my level had nothing to say. My wife stopped hearing the highway from the front room."
